Hi! We are the Wong VanTol Family. After decades of working for reputable companies in the industry, we decided to take a chance and start our own business in the midst of the pandemic as Mother + Daughter (Myriam + Brenda), alongside our husbands (Carlos + Cameron). Aside from having 25+ years experience working in wedding and event design; we are 100% family owned and operated. You will always find our siblings and grandma lending a hand where they can. Many can say that they treat all their clients as family, but that is an understatement for us. We always go above and beyond as if it's our own wedding we are designing for. We work straight out of our home studio in our little town of Berryville, VA, and have completed couples' wedding dreams all over the DMV. With Carlos, our very own carpenter, the design possibilities are endless. All of our events are customized to your liking while striving to find the most affordable options to fit your budget. We make planning your event easy and schedule a phone consultation on a day that is convenient for you and our lead designer to get specific details. Within 7 business days, we send over your drafter proposal for your review. Once you have decided to move forward, you will sign the agreement and make your 1at payment. We have the option of placing your 50% deposit or as a $300 save-the-date deposit with the 1st 50% to follow 2 weeks later. - Don't worry! You can still make changes at your final follow-up call. 1 month out, you will have all of your RSVPs in and be ready to finalize your table counts and proposal details. We will help you schedule your final call with our designer. This is your opportunity to make any additions or changes to your proposal. Once we have completed the updated proposal, we will send it over for review and your final payment will be due.

Is flower transportation and display what you want to focus on during your big day? - Being responsible for your wedding flowers is different from, say, booking your wedding venue, which can be done well in advance. Remember, floral arrangements have a limited window of time to look perfect before they wilt, so they should be prepared close to the wedding day itself. Floral design for a wedding or event takes on average 4-5 days; not including Hiring a professional florist for your wedding takes one more piece of cake off your plate. As professional florists, we take our business to heart and strive to provide only the best to our clients. We dream of flowers. Let us breathe life into your vision for your big day.

EXPERIENCE

Surprises and unplanned situations are the last things any bride wants on her wedding day. When you hire a professional florist, you'll be able to view their portfolio and hear first-hand from previous clients about their experience. Here's a familiar situation: you watched a DIY video on Pinterest, it seemed simple, and you felt confident. You gather the materials and give it a good DIY try, but somehow, the result looks nothing like Pinterest. Even though you may have researched crafting bouquets and arrangements, that doesn't mean you will have the ability to design your pieces like a professional. Florists also use higher quality materials than you cannot purchase in a store and have access to specific types of flowers and color palettes that you may have yet to consider.

ENJOY YOUR WEDDING

This one is for couples who think it will be easier and less expensive to enlist their friends and relatives who may have experience with flowers- Warning: this could be a huge mistake! Not only because you might not get the quality you're expecting, but working for free or paying less than a professional florist could cause a strain on your relationship and cause injuries. Keep in mind: there is a very limited time most venues give their couples for the setup. Realistically, you or your family members are not going to hand clean each candle set, pack everything up, transfer each item, climb a ladder, or do it all over again for breakdown at the end of the evening. Your family should be able to celebrate alongside you. We're here for you and take care of processing your flower shipment, designing, preserving them in a professional floral cooler, packing/transporting, setting up, and breakdown.

FAQs

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY FLORIST?

We recommend that you wait to schedule your consultation after you’ve booked your venue; the venue can shape many of the floral details of a wedding. We find that we meet with most of our couples for the first time between six and twelve months before their wedding, but there are plenty of exceptions. Our calendar does fill quickly, so the further we are from your wedding, the more likely we are to be available on your wedding date!

HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET FOR WEDDING FLOWERS + DECOR SERVICES?

It’s often said that flowers will cost 10 percent of your wedding budget; while we have found that to be a useful general guideline, every wedding is different. If budget is your primary consideration, please let us know as we begin working together; we can offer recommendations for any budget! It is also true that the more flexibility our design team has in flower selection, the more easily we can accommodate any budget

DO YOU OFFER WEDDING SERVICES BEYOND FLORAL DESIGN?

We sure do! Aside from our lighting and draping services, we also have our personal carpenter who can customize signs, altars, bars, and seating chart walls.
